This Privacy Policy explains how Morotour (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you visit morotour.com or book a tour with us. We handle your data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Moroccan Law 09-08 on the protection of personal data.

1. Who we are

2. What personal data we collect

When you make an enquiry or book a tour, we collect:

  • Identity and contact data: your name, email address, and phone number.
  • Booking data: the tour(s) you book, travel dates, number of travellers, and any special requests or dietary/accessibility information you share.
  • Billing data: billing name and address.
  • Payment data: processed securely by our payment providers (PayPal and our credit-card processor). We do not store your full card details.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, collected via cookies and analytics.
  • Communications: the content of messages you send us by form, email, or WhatsApp.

3. How we use your data, and our legal basis

  • To perform your booking contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — to confirm and deliver your tour, including sharing necessary details with the accommodation, guides, and transport providers who deliver your trip.
  • To comply with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)) — such as accounting and tax records.
  • For our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — to respond to enquiries, improve our services, and secure our website.
  • With your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — for non-essential cookies/analytics and, if you opt in, marketing emails. You can withdraw consent at any time.

4. Payment processing

Payments are handled by PayPal and credit-card processor, acting as independent processors. Your card details are entered directly with the processor over an encrypted connection. We receive only payment confirmation and limited billing details — never your full card number.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies to make the site work and, with your consent, to understand how visitors use it via Google Analytics (anonymous, aggregated). Non-essential and analytics cookies are only set after you accept the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time.

6. Who we share your data with

  • Accommodation (riads, hotels, desert camps), local guides, and transport providers — to arrange and deliver your booked tour.
  • Payment processors — to take payment.
  • Service providers — our website host, email provider, and analytics provider, under a data processing agreement.
  • Authorities — where required by law.

We never sell your personal data.

7. International data transfers

We are based in Morocco, outside the EEA and treated as a “third country” under GDPR. When we process EU/EEA customers’ data, it is transferred to and processed in Morocco. Where required, we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and, for data needed to fulfil your booking, on the contract-performance basis permitted under GDPR Article 49 and Moroccan law.

8. How long we keep your data

We keep booking and billing data for as long as necessary to deliver your tour and meet legal and accounting obligations, then securely delete or anonymise it. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept for a reasonable period, then deleted.

9. Your rights

Under GDPR and Moroccan law you may access, correct, or delete your personal data; restrict or object to processing; request portability; and withdraw consent. Email contact@morotour.com to exercise any right — we respond without undue delay and within one calendar month. You may also complain to your local EU data protection authority or the Moroccan CNDP.

10. Children

Our services are not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. Bookings including minors are made by an accompanying adult.

We may update this policy. The current version is always shown here with its “last updated” date.
